NekonyancerAccording to the [red]*Tournament Card,*[/red] each player can add *3* cards from Deck *A* in the first round. Nekonyancer*Great!* Now that we've added our two cards, we have the option to *remove* any number of cards from our deck. Mm... I don't think we want to remove anything just yet. *Click on [red]"Done"[/red] and then [blue]"Confirm Deck"[/blue] at the top!*1maintitlebar_content

Nekonyancer[red]Time to start the Match Phase![/red] This is when all the 1-on-1 matches actually play out. All we have to do on our turn is reveal the top card of our deck. [blue]Looks like our opponent is going first...[/blue]1player_name_11941354

NekonyancerTheir top card was a [red]*Newcomer,*[/red] which has a power level of *1.* Whenever a card's power is greater than or equal to the opponent's power, it gains *possession* of the flag!1cha-revealed-0-1-0

NekonyancerOur top card turned out to be our [red]*Dog.*[/red] Like many cards, Dog has an effect that activates when played. It allowed us to peek at the top card of our deck (shown at the top of your screen) and decide if we want to leave it there or move it under our deck.1cha-revealed-0-0-0

NekonyancerLet's get back to the Dog. It has a power level of *3,* which was more than enough to take possession of the flag from our opponent's Newcomer!1cha-revealed-0-0-0

NekonyancerThe opponent's Newcomer, having been beaten, went to their *bench* to watch the rest of the match. NekonyancerNow that we have Possession, our turn is over. It's up to our opponent to take it back from us!3cha-revealed-0-0-0

NekonyancerThey came out swinging with a [red]*Talent,*[/red] but it doesn't have enough power to take Possession. In cases like this, the player will continue playing cards until their *total power* is enough to take Possession!1cha-revealed-0-1-0

NekonyancerTheir next card is another [red]*Newcomer.*[/red] Together, the Newcomer and Talent had *4* power, which was enough to gain possession! Our defeated Dog reported to our own Bench.1cha-revealed-0-1-1

NekonyancerHowever, even though they worked together to *gain* possession, only the last card will *maintain* it. Their Talent is now completely hidden under the Newcomer. NekonyancerExhaust piles are kind of like secondary benches. It's often advantageous to get cards into one's exhaust pile so they don't take up slots on the main bench. We'll learn more about them in just a minute. [red]*Our opponent's exhaust pile*[/red] is currently empty, so our Climber didn't get a +2 bonus, but it was still strong enough to gain possession!2cha-0-1-exhaust

Nekonyancer*2-player* and *Solo* games are a little different. One player can win instantly by being at least [green]11 Fans[/green] ahead of their opponent at the end of a Match Phase. If that doesn't happen, whoever has more Fans at the end of the 7th round wins!4maintitlebar_content

NekonyancerWhen you have more experience with the game, you might consider toggling *Trainer Cards* in the lobby options! If toggled, each player can choose one of two Trainer Cards at the beginning of the game. It will grant some sort of permanent bonus!
