DogEgg258Welcome to *Qu4to*, a ladder-climbing game for 2-5 players. In this game, players try to play their hands as quickly as possible. The first player clear their hand score the most points. A game includes *3 rounds*. After the 3 rounds, the player with the highest score wins. [tip] "Quatro" in Portuguese means "four". In this game, the number "4" is special. Let's start the tutorial. :)1topbar_content000
DogEgg258Before each round starts, every player must decide whether to flip their hand or not. As you see, each card has a [green]*green side*[/green] and [blue]*blue side*[/blue], while [red]*"4"*[/red] is special. You can always see the opponents' cards' colors by the backs of their cards, which is sometimes helpful. There are green and blue stars on "4" to indicate the back color. Otherwise, it would be easy for opponents to guess how many 4s you have.2topbar_content000
DogEgg258Now, you may click the "*Flip hand*" button to see how the numbers change. Then, we will *keep the [green]green side[/green] up* and click the "*Confirm orientation*" button. 1topbar_content65e518d74514a10
DogEgg258On your turn, you must play a set of card(s) from your hand or pass. Each set must be made up of 1-4 cards with the *same number* (like 5-5-5-5) or *a continuous sequences of numbers* (like 4-5-6-7). Remember that only the numbers facing up in your hand are relevant. If there is a [blue]*Leader Set*[/blue] on the table (cards played by previous player), your set must beat it.1topbar_content65e518e3903b700played_card_container 7
DogEgg258[red]*Zes96*[/red] has played a 2. We must play a stronger card. Always remember: - Sets with *more cards are stronger* than sets with fewer cards. - If the number of cards is the same, compare the type of set: *sets of equal numbers are stronger* than sequences. - If both the number of cards and the type of set are the same, *sets with higher number are stronger*. 2topbar_content65e518e3903b700
DogEgg258Let's play the 4!! Select the card [red]*4*[/red] and click "Play selected". 3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment65e518e3903b710btnPlayCard 18 myhand_item_26 17
DogEgg258*Look! You scored 1 point!* You always score 1 point immediately when you play a set include [red]*4(s)*[/red] that beats other cards. 1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment65e518e9a743d00
DogEgg258[red]*Zes96*[/red] played 6-7-8-9. If we want to beat it, we must play a stronger set, something like 7-8-9-10, 3-3-3-3... which we don't have. But that fine. Now we have to pass. If we pass, we must *draw a card* from the deck or *flip a card* in hand. Now let's flip the *5*. Select the 5 on the right and click "*Pass and flip a card*". 1topbar_content65e518f62d8c910btnFlipCard 18 myhand_item_21 17
DogEgg258[red]*Zes96*[/red] chose to pass and draw a card. When you draw a card, you may select the blue side or green side. [red]*Zes96*[/red] select the green side and which they have 1 green card and 7 blue cards. Now let's pass and flip the 6. 1topbar_content65e5193c92eb510btnFlipCard 18 playertable_95456488 6 myhand_item_36 17
DogEgg258[red]*Zes96*[/red] played 3 3s. Same-number sets are only stronger than the sequence sets when the number of cards is the same. More cards are always stronger than less. Let's beat them with 4 cards. *Play 8-9-10-11. *1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment65e5196f7110b10btnPlayCard 18 myhand_item_11 16 myhand_item_21 16 myhand_item_35 16 myhand_item_59 16
DogEgg258Both [blue]*Pinkwally*[/blue] and [red]*Zes96*[/red] chose to pass. When all other players choose to pass, you will start a new trick and you may play anything you want (of course they must still be a set). [red]!!! *In this situation, playing set with "4" does not score any extra points. *[/red] *Let's play 7-7-7-7. * (Just follow the tutorial although it is not a good move. )1topbar_content65e51987ed82110btnPlayCard 18 myhand_item_9 16 myhand_item_22 16 myhand_item_36 16 myhand_item_52 16
DogEgg258The remaining cards in our hand cannot form either matching sets or sequences, so we can only play them one by one.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment65e519ae9069500
DogEgg258Flipping a card in our hand cannot help. So let's hope we can draw a 4. *Click the deck to draw a card*. 1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment65e519c0237f910
DogEgg258After drawing a card, we must immediately choose to use the [green]green side (*3*)[/green] or [blue]blue side (*8*)[/blue]. Now let's choose the [green]*green side (3)*[/green] so we may have a pair of 3. 1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment65e519c202fac10btnDrawGreen 16
DogEgg258[red]*Zes96*[/red] has played their last card. They score 2 points this round. [blue]*Pinkwally*[/blue] has 1 card left. If we play a set of 2 cards, they cannot beat it. *Let's play out the pair of 3s.* 1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment65e519d9b709110btnPlayCard 18 myhand_item_6 16 myhand_item_7 16
DogEgg258When only one player has card(s) in hand, the round ends. Players score according to the order in which they cleared their hands. In the last round, [red]*Zes96*[/red] was the *first player to clear their hand*, and so they score 2 points. We are the second, so we score 1 point. [blue]*Pinkwally*[/blue] didn't finish playing their hand so they didn't score from it. 1topbar_content65e519e5caf1400
DogEgg258Let's review the rules: - *More cards* in a set make it stronger. - if sets have the same number of cards, *matching* sets are stronger than sequences. - *Higher-value* cards are stronger than lower-value cards. And one more thing: [red]*4-4-4-4*[/red] is the strongest set in the game. It's even stronger than 11-11-11-11. 2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment65e519e5caf1400
DogEgg258In 2-player mode, there are some minor differences: - Playing [red]*4*[/red] doesn't score an extra point. - The first player to clear their hand score 1. - The first player to reach 2 points wins. That's all for the tutorial. *If this tutorial is helpful to you, please give me a 5-star rating. Your rating is very important to me!* Feel free to send me any comments. :) Have a nice day!!3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment65e519e5caf1400
