NekonyancerFromage is a simultaneous worker-placement game where you *make cheese* and *gather resources* by placing workers onto the board quadrant that is facing you. Once all players have finished their actions, the board *rotates,* aging the cheese, and presenting everyone with a new quadrant!5player_name_92143487

Nekonyancer[blue]As you can see, the main board is divided into four quadrants.[/blue] Each quadrant provides access to one kind of *resource* (around the center of the board) and one *venue.*7fr-main-board-resource-tile

NekonyancerEach player gets [red]*3 workers,*[/red] each representing a different kind of cheese: *Soft* (white), *Hard* (yellow), and *Bleu* (blue). Each turn, we can command each worker to either [blue]*Make Cheese*[/blue] or [blue]*Gather Resources.*[/blue] You should be able to see those actions at the top of the screen!8fr-worker-4-front

Nekonyancer[green]We'll start with the Make Cheese action.[/green] This action allows you to place a worker on any open cheese slot in our quadrant's *venue.* Right now, it's the [blue]*Bistro.*[/blue] You might need to scroll down a little bit to see it. Nekonyancer[blue]Great! We successfully placed some cheese in the Bistro.[/blue] Next, I'll explain *Age.* Each plate of cheese has an *Age* in addition to a type, which determines how long we'll have to wait to get our worker back.1fr-worker-4-front

Nekonyancer[blue]Each cheese can be aged for...[/blue] *1 month* (bronze plate). *2 months* (silver plate). *3 months* (gold plate). The cheese we just placed in the Bistro is on a gold plate, indicating an age of 3 months. [red]That means we'll have to wait 3 turns to get this worker back![/red] 😧2fr-worker-4-front

Nekonyancer[red]So why would we want to make an aged cheese?[/red] Well, first of all, each venue has a unique [red]*scoring mechanic.*[/red] We'll often need aged cheeses to maximize our Prestige.4fr-main-board-section-bistro-scoring-overlay-marker

NekonyancerAt the end of the game, each of our cheeses in the [blue]*Bistro*[/blue] will score Prestige depending on how many *pairings* we made. A *pairing* is a table on which we occupy *both* cheese slots.5fr-main-board-section-bistro-scoring-overlay-marker

NekonyancerThis order card requires us to make a 3-month-old Hard cheese (gold plate). [green]We just did that, so we can complete the order![/green] *Click on the card! Alternatively, click on [blue]"Complete Gruyère"[/blue] at the top!*8fr-order-32-front

Nekonyancer[blue]Great! The order card was moved to our Completed box.[/blue] At the end of the game, we'll score *1/2/3/5/7/10* Prestige for completing *1/2/3/4/5/6* orders. Each completed order after the 6th one is worth another 4 Prestige.1fr-order-32-back

NekonyancerThere are four kinds of resources in the game (order cards, livestock, fruit, and buildings), each only available in one quadrant. Just like when making cheese, we only have access to the quadrant that is *facing us.* The one facing us - the one with the Bistro - has *Fruit.*3fr-main-board-resource-tile

NekonyancerAs you can see, there are three Fruit resource spaces. The number on each space indicates how much of the resource it provides *AND* how long it will take to get the worker back. NekonyancerNext, we have to tell BGA which worker we want to use and which space we want to place it on. *Select the White cheese worker and 1 Fruit. Then confirm!*1fr-gather-resources-cancel-button

Nekonyancer*Great!* We immediately gained *1 Fruit token.* You should be able to see it in your inventory to the right, as well as on our [red]*personal board*[/red] below. [green]Some cheese slots on the board will require us to spend Fruit. We'll get more into that later.[/green]1fr-worker-1-front

NekonyancerOkay, now we've *made cheese* and *gathered resources.* There's one more action button at the top (Use Milking Parlour), but that's a special action that uses Livestock resources to make cheese. NekonyancerWe've ended our turn, but remember: all players take their turns *simultaneously* in Fromage. Our opponent is still considering his moves. When he's ready, the entire board will rotate *90 degrees clockwise,* giving each player access to a new quadrant!3player_name_92143487

If you look closely at the space, you'll see a small icon on the cheese.
