implemented: This suggestion has been implemented

What is this report about?
What happened? Please select from below
Suggestion: in my opinion, the following would greatly improve the game implementation
Detailed description
• Please explain your suggestion precisely and concisely so that it's as easy as possible to understand what you mean.
A civilization building should be triggered by 3 in a row horizontally or vertically, not 3 in a corner configuration, as far as I understand.
I completed 3 in a corner and the game offered me a civilization building for blue.• Which browser are you using?
Mozilla v5

Jun 4th 2022 20:38 • Update: It happened at move #125. Not only did it let me place a civilization building on a blue L (not 3 in a row), but it also let me steal the civilization building from its current location (which was already on a row of 3).
As I understand the rules, you need a straight row or column of at least 4 to steal the building from a row/column of 3.

During the war on move 70, the line of blue tiles the adv civ building was connected to were destroyed, leaving it sitting alone on a line of length 1. Later on turn 115 when a blue tile was placed making a line of 2 (horizontally), the building was moved.

post-war: i.notabigtruck.com/i/AMivH.png
building move: i.notabigtruck.com/i/BrdMb.png
The line is only required to be of length 3 if the building is being placed on the board. It need only be longer if it is moving.
Were your screenshots taken using the "fast replay" option, or during gameplay?

Jun 8th 2022 20:48 • I took the screenshots during replay, but I thought I saw the same thing during the game.
I do see your point that stealing a monument from a line of 1 or 2 should be legal. Your screenshots look more correct, and I understand that the blue tiles got deleted due to war but the monument remained alone.

cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/982054987423170660/984199416061780008/unknown.png
Without any wars involved, I was allowed to place the civilization building with a column of 2. For some reason I also could not undo, afterwards.

Jun 8th 2022 23:06 • I'm so sorry, you are right, this was legitimate again because building WAS on the board but then the original line became small, and then the civilization building was stolen legitimately.
thenmal • This suggestion has not been analyzed by the developers yet:
Jun 8th 2022 23:09 • Just had a chat in-game, this was working properly but the log message could be clearer.
I am going to clarify the log message for when a civ building is moved rather than placed.

I am going to change the implementation to needing 3 tiles AND greater to move a building.
