donkeykong66Welcome to Next Station: London! You will be redesigning the London Underground system. Create the best lines, have the most intersections, and visit the most tourist sites to score the most points!1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000
donkeykong66The game will last four rounds, and during every round you will get to draw one of the four metro lines. This game we get to start by drawing the [green]green[/green] line, as indicated under our player name.2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000nex_player_panel_84009731 12
donkeykong66Our green line has to start at the colored triangle here. Looking at the top card on the left we have to connect to a square shape this move. We have to connect in a straight line following the dotted lines. donkeykong66This turn we have to connect to a triangle. You can connect from either end of the line. Let's connect from the square we just connected to, to the triangle diagonally above it. donkeykong66I promised you we'd get to this special card soon! :) We drew a railroad switch for this turn! Instead of having to connect from either endpoint of our line, we can connect from every station on our current route! donkeykong66Let's talk about scoring. The score for our green line has three components. The first number is the number of different regions your line has visited. donkeykong66The last part is regarding the number of times you cross the Thames (the blue part across the middle of the map). So far we haven't done so, but every time you cross the river it is worth 2 points! donkeykong66This is the last pink card from the deck, which means that the round ends after this card! Therefore, every round you will be allowed to draw at least 5 and at most 10 new connections! We will connect to the highlighted circle here to get our first river crossing! donkeykong66The next card is a pentagon. We have multiple options to connect from either of the two endpoints, but we choose not to draw any of them. Passing is allowed! If you have no option available to you you will be forced to pass.1nex_card_station_current6310464081e7300
donkeykong66This game was set up with the "Pencil powers" option. This round we have the option to have an extra railroad switch. We have chosen to use it this turn. We click on the pencil power, then the pentagon and then the square above it to activate it. Each pencil color has its own power associated to it.1nex_pencilpower_36310465e85ba100
donkeykong66We just created an intersection between the blue and green line! This is worth points as well! As highlighted on the scoresheet, every station that connects two different lines is worth 2 points! donkeykong66You only need to know one more thing before you are ready to play. If selected in the game settings, two goals will be available for the game.
