tommymillerjrWelcome Player to the Islands of the Pacific!
You and your opponent are competing to see who is the most powerful *Kahuna*. You will determine this by seeing who can *control the most islands at the end of each of the 3 rounds*.

tommymillerjrOn your turn you will play between *0-5 cards* and you will always end your turn by drawing a new card.
When you draw a card you can select one from the 3 faceup cards or take a card from the top of the deck.
Lets not play any cards for now and draw the [red]*GOLA*[/red] card for future play.1card_pool_3635aa26ed871b10card_pool_1 13 card_pool_2 13 card_pool_3 1
tommymillerjrOnce again lets take the [red]*GOLA*[/red] card and prepare for our big move next turn. 1card_pool_3635aa290ebec710card_pool_1 13 card_pool_2 13 card_pool_3 1
tommymillerjrDid you see that our opponent played a card which added a [blue]*bridge*[/blue] between *JOJO* and *IFFI*. Lets see what happens when we take over *JOJO*.
First select the line between [red]*ELAI*[/red] and [red]*JOJO*[/red] then select the [red]*ELAI*[/red] card in your hand. 1card_pool_2635aa2dc4db0c11bridge_16 1 bridge_23 2 player_hand_item_1 13 player_hand_item_2 13 player_hand_item_3 1 player_hand_item_4 13 player_hand_item_5 13
tommymillerjrNow select the line between [red]*GOLA* and *JOJO*[/red] then select the first [red]*GOLA*[/red] card in your hand.1card_pool_0635aa2fa3c69a11bridge_19 1 player_hand_item_1 13 player_hand_item_2 13 player_hand_item_4 1 player_hand_item_5 13
tommymillerjrNow finally select the line between [red]*FAAA* and *JOJO*[/red]. The interface will know to discard the only possible card in your hand the JOJO card.1gameboard635aa3019483910bridge_18 1
tommymillerjrDid you see what happened.
Once you control more then half of the bridges connected to an island you [blue]*gain control of it*[/blue], and when you gain control of an island any bridges your opponent has connected to that island are removed.
[red] [tip] If your bridges drop to half or below you lose control of that island. [/red]
Now lets skip ahead a few moves1gameboard635aa3142c00a00island_10 2
tommymillerjrNow lets look at another action you can do with your cards.
If an opponent has a bridge somewhere you don't want you can destroy that bridge by using 2 of your cards. To do this, you must play two cards that each show one of the two islands connected by the opponent's bridge.
Lets select the bridge between [red]*GOLA* and *KAHU*[/red]. The interface will automatically discard the required cards GOLA and KAHU.1gameboard635aa3b3191f310bridge_20 1
tommymillerjrNow lets select the [red]*DUDA*[/red] card and skip to the end of the round.1card_pool_1635aa3c3f1fdd10card_pool_1 1 card_pool_2 13 card_pool_3 13
tommymillerjrOnce the final card is drawn from the stack it will end that round and the round will be scored.
Select the [red]*IFFI*[/red] card.1card_pool_2635aa4a48265b10card_pool_2 1
tommymillerjr[green] [tip] Why did the game end? [/green]
Don't worry, normally the game will continue, but I'm abandoning the game at this point for the sake of the tutorial.1player_board_83925217635aa4bc99a5b00
tommymillerjrThe game is played over *3 rounds* and you will keep the cards in your hand between rounds.
In the *first* round, the player who controls more islands on the game board receives *one* point.
In the *second* round, the player who controls more islands on the game board receives *two* points.3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment635aa4bc99a5b00
tommymillerjrWhen the draw pile is depleted for the *third* time
and the last of the three face-up island cards has
been drawn, each player takes *one more turn*. This
is the last time they can play their cards.
Afterward, the final scoring takes place
The player with more tokens receives points equal to the *difference* between the players' token counts.4archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment635aa4bc99a5b00
tommymillerjrAfter the *third* round of scoring the player with highest points wins the game. 5archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment635aa4bc99a5b00
