I would also like to praise our finalist Pechitoz and semi-finalist bazilyuk and Karaboudjan who excel among so many very strong players and put up a good fight for the title. Hmm, I'm curious: what is the purpose of having a two-stage tournament if both stages have the Single Elimination format? Put differently, what functional difference is there between this and a straight-up Single Elimination tournament with only a single stage?
