Pili Pili: Seriously Spicy!
Here is some valuable information that you may, or may not, already know: a pili-pili is a small but extremely hot chilli pepper. It is also called piri-piri or peri-peri and is known as “z’ozio” in Creole. It is used in most spicy cuisine and... Stop! STOP! STOOOOP!!! This is not a culinary website... Let’s start again.
Pili Pili is a trick-taking card game in which you have to guess how many tricks you will win... and try to stick to that guess! Like in most trick-taking games, the card with the highest value wins the trick. Once all the cards in hand have been played, if you fail to match your number of tricks, you receive Pilis as a penalty, one for every trick you missed or excedeed your bet by.
And it gets trickier: each round, you have a mission. Its effect is applied to your hand making it more complex, more savage or just more fun. These missions force you to adapt your strategy and the number of tricks you think you will win. But be careful: accumulate too many pilis, and the game is lost.
Pili Pili mixes trick-taking, betting and variable rules, making it a dynamic game easy to enjoy. Trick or be tricked, that is the question. https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=pilipili
Let’s take a minute to spit out fire and thank Ben (II) and JB, the game designers, as well as ATM Gaming, the publisher, for allowing us to have their game on the platform. And thank you to Moof who spiced up BGA with this game.
This was your Monday release.
Stay cool, don’t get too hot-headed, and take care and play fair…
