Agent Avenue: Two Spies are Better than One
Agent Avenue is a two-player bluffing and deduction game. You assume the role of a retired spy in Oakfield, a peaceful suburban neighborhood. Peaceful? You started noticing espionage signs near your house. You have one objective in mind: discover the truth, and the spy, by recruiting local assets and making clever use of your spy gadgets.
The game uses a simple mechanic: "I split, you choose". You play one card face-up and one face-down each turn. Your opponent chooses one of them, influencing both your strategies. Cards feature agents and tools that can score points or trigger special effects and impact scoring and game progress.
Outsmart your opponent by strategically collecting agents and effectively using spy tools. The game ends when a player successfully uncovers their opponent, combining both strategic depth and bluffing elements.
Agent Avenue, which collected several nominations and prizes, forces you to think like a spy and make the best of your “friendly neighborhood.” Practice your skills with the tutorial or jump into the espionage game straight away: https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=agentavenue.
Our very own BGA spies uncovered the identity of the game designers and the publisher: thank you Christian and Laura Kudahl, and thank you Nerdlab Games for having this game on our platform. We would also like to thank Beethoven IV, whose underground work allowed Agent Avenue to be on BGA.
This was your Wednesday release.
Don’t get caught spying so whatever you do, take care and play fair…
