Detailed description

A wild animal is revealed
When you reveal a wild animal while drawing new civilization cards (see page 9), place it next to the game board so that all players can see it (not on the spaces for civilization cards). Then continue drawing new civilization cards until there are four available for the next round. The wild animal now threatens the tribes.• Please explain what you wanted to do, what you did and what happened
The rule does not specify whether the card draw to be face-up or face-down.
Someone from BGG asked this to the publisher, and got the answer:
boardgamegeek.com/thread/2170495/when-additional-card-wild-animal-card
If this is correct, it is possible to have a wild animal at round 1 or wild animal to reduce rolls of not yet active players only.• Which browser are you using?

I e-mailed Hans im Glück and here's the official response:
Quote:If you draw an animal card because of the civilisation card, you handle it the same way, as before. If there is already another animal, you put it under the existing one. If not, you now have an active animal, that reduces the values of the dice you throw. That might affect only certain players, because they have already finished their turn.
Current implementation puts the card back on the top, so if there is no empty civ card slot the animal will stay on the top of the pile.
