Detailed description
• Please copy/paste the error message you see on your screen, if applicable.
Any 2x multiplier letter (B, J, K or Q) which are already very powerful alone, can be impossible to beat if you get 2 of them together.
My suggestion is a simple option that 2x DO NOT accumulate, meaning there is no 4x or 8x, the max is 2x.
This can be implemented as a pre-game option, something like "2x MAX rule".• Please explain what you wanted to do, what you did and what happened

His suggestion is to add a variant in which doublers "add" instead of "multiply". So, two doublers applied to the same word would result in 3x earnings instead of 4x.
I'm happy to implement this variant, since it's endorsed by the game designer. I think the "2x MAX" variant you describe goes a little two far, since it eliminates any benefit of achieving multiple doubler requirements, and thus reduces strategic options.
But I really think 3x the points is still too much.
Check the stats to see how many times a player that gets B and J together loses...
I even considered a "no doubles allowed" pre-game option. That would still be good, IMO.
So, the data I have doesn't indicate that doubler stacking is having a significant effect on win rate. It doesn't disprove it either, of course.
I'm not necessarily ruling out a "2x MAX" variant, but I'd like to start with the designer-approved "doublers add" variant first.
(Since I'm just the developer of this game on BGA, not the game designer, I don't feel comfortable introducing significant rule variants without evidence or approval.)
