Detailed description
• Please copy/paste the error message you see on your screen, if applicable.
I've played 2 or 3 times with the new interface. I couldn't figure out where the misfire counters were displayed. I had to find out about it via the forum.
Now that I know where it is displayed, I still can't tell how many misfires are left with the shading on the board -- are there 2 left? Just 1? Hard to tell.
Perhaps display the original circle icons on top of the board; the red colouring didn't stand out to me at all.
Alternately, maybe a coloured outline around the board segments, and a bit of a flash effect around the border when one changes colour might draw player's attention more.• Please explain what you wanted to do, what you did and what happened

Whether or not the mat still changes too is of little interest - keep that if it appeals to some of the developers but I doubt any of the players care about it.
Please return the original misfire tokens to the interface, especially for the players who are used to the in-person version of this game.
I realize one of the reasons for the facelift is making the online game more similar to the real game, but I doubt the real game has the misfire tiles *under* the played cards. And besides, the discard display is already different enough from any real game, so other small improvements like adding a misfire counter/icon should be allowed too?
It has 3 parts becoming red bomb after bomb.
I agree it’s not obvious, even if you've already seen the physical game.
also the picture isn't a good choice to place there. you can mainly see the water with some red things in the middle that look just random. if you know the whole picture you at least know it is the bottom part of these japanese torii but seeing just that small part of it makes it look rediculous.
--> better just use monochromatic background instead or picture that only has the fireworks to the bottom (right now only upper part of pic) and not the water+torii.
2) Before I stumbled across that info, I just tried to remember to count misfires. I thought it was frustrating that the UI didn't count them for you, but I never even thought to do a search to find out how it already *did* show that information.
3) Now that I know to look at the background, I can use the feature, but it's still not as obvious as some other UI solution could be. It's a pretty and elegant idea, but unfortunately from the point of view of a player it's too subtle.
4) If the devs decide not to add some more obvious counter to the UI, they should at least consider adding a one time dialog box popup or something to inform players once about the way the background image shows misfires by shading red. It really isn't discoverable at the moment, and it's an important feature.
