Since this one has the most votes, I'll try to consolidate the cases here so hopefully the developers can look at them all.
One of mine (2020-07-07):
"A similar bug happened to me: I got placed into 2 real-time Yahtzee Arena tables at the same time, and got a leaver penalty (+ lost Arena points) from the one that I never played. You can see the games have been created at exactly the same time, which should be impossible.
First game (I completed): boardgamearena.com/table?table=99938529
Second game (I didn't play): boardgamearena.com/table?table=99936229
Please look into this and remove the leaver penalties from the people affected.
Browser: Firefox 78.0.1 (64-bit)"
"For easy reference, I looked up the games Dave90bj was talking about. It is indeed quite similar to what I experienced.
7 Wonders: boardgamearena.com/table?table=99245886
Sushi Go: boardgamearena.com/table?table=99244296
The Sushi Go table was created a minute later than the 7 Wonders table, but the games overlap."
"Another incident, but it happened to an opponent this time. I expelled him from my game after he didn't respond for a few minutes, thinking he was away. He contacted me later, saying he was put in another game at the same time, which was true:
Game 1 (Can't Stop): boardgamearena.com/table?table=101801751
Game 2 (Jaipur): boardgamearena.com/table?table=101806651 "
Game 1: boardgamearena.com/table?table=92769435
Game 2: boardgamearena.com/table?table=92763255
These are not Arena games, but the automatic table selection feature probably works the same way as Arena.

It seems this bug is quite common, so there are probably a lot of unreported cases. Hopefully this can be looked at.
"I receive a mail saying that I quit and/or was expeled from a realtime game that I do not remember joining. But when I look at the time of this game, I noted that during this game I was playing another realtime game.
Here are some info that can help you track the bug:
I was playing game number 71035911 (from 6:55:50 PM to 7:09:43 PM the 04/04/2020 according to boardgamearena.com/gamereview?table=71035911)
The mail l received about the game I supposedly joined was about game 71035668 that started around 6:58PM the same day according to boardgamearena.com/gamereview?table=71035668).
From what I remember I was waiting on the two tables."
"I was just put into two realtime arena games at once.
Sushi Go: boardgamearena.com/table?table=88577372
6 Nimmt! boardgamearena.com/table?table=88573372
I had selected waiting for both in the arena screen, saw the game is about to start window for sushi go, but it didn't progress past that, and was suddenly on refresh playing 6 nimmt!
I checked and I was playing both, so I had to somehow figure out how to switch between the tabs to not lose time on either."

"Something similar happenned to me. I was waiting at two tables, Red7 and Potion Explotion. I was prompted that I had a Red7 game starting, but the white startup screen had no players showing in it?! When I reloaded the window it suddenly looked like this: i.imgur.com/yBGs0ot.png
The window and the tab says Red 7, but it shows Potion Explotion - and no players! I then loaded BGA game screen in another tab, and got a game screen for Potion Explotion which I chose to play on and finnish.
I don't seem to have got any penalties for Red7, but this was seriously weird. Please look into it!

"Another incident today. I am not sure how to look up the table numbers but this time it was 7 Wonders (played) and For Sale (never actually seen it), around 3 PM CET"
I looked up the table numbers:
Game 1 (For Sale): boardgamearena.com/table?table=103719278
Game 2 (7 Wonders): boardgamearena.com/table?table=103712888
"Bonjour,

"Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred...
Unable to find game archive /var/tournoi-data/gamearchive/122172233/122172233_88701006.html"
Of course it's "unable to find"! Because it was never recorded! The game didn't started on my side of the table!
I want my reputation points back. And my ELO points too!
The game I wasn't able to play and wasn't aware it was played:
boardgamearena.com/table?table=122172233
The other game I played at the same time:
boardgamearena.com/table?table=122179143
If you look at the times of the moves, you will see I made a move on the second game before I supposedly got out of time and supposedly left the first of those games. It shouldn't be possible, but it happend! How? I wasn't ever playing the first game!
This time I played 2 games, I won 2 games, and I didn't even get any penalties! And that wasn't easy!
But how it happened???
I don't remember how many tables I was waiting for, could be only one, but could also be two or three.
I was prompted "you are going to play", I accepted and I was waiting for the other player. I was waiting quite long and nothing was happening, just as if the other player wasn't there, didn't click accept or refuse, was just looking at the screen and doing nothing. Or there wasn't any other player, maybe they lost connection or started another game? I didn't know what was going on, but game wasn't starting. I thought that maybe there is something wrong with my computer, my connection or whatever, so I refreshed the page. What happened? I was back in the lobby, quite normal when game didn't start.
So I started another game. As I wrote above, I don't remember whether I was already waiting for some other tables or whether I just joined another table after the first one didn't start.
But however it happened, I was prompted again "you are going to play", I accepted, and this time the game was about to start.
And here is great advantage of not having Premium account :)
I had to wait for the game to begin!
So, having some time, I was going to look at my opponent's statistics. Of course I cannot see what is visible only for Premium players, but I was going to look at the number of games played and how often they where won.
Now there is second thing that I don't quite remember, I don't know whether I opened another browser page, or had it already opened from one of the previous games. But I looked at another page and at the top there was written "You are waiting on 2 realtime tables".
WHAT??? Waiting? And TWO tables?
But I just started the game! There should be written "You are playing..."!
Curious about what's going on, I clicked and checked those two tables.
And what a surprise, THE OTHER GAME WAS ALREADY STARTED!!! And that was that game, which I was so long waiting for, and refreshed the page, and haven't seen the game again, just as if it was cancelled. It wasn't cancelled, it was going on, and if I wasn't waiting and checking another page, I would never know, that I am supposed to play two real time games at the same time!
So I played both games, one move here, one move there, switching from one browser page to another and back to the first one, clicking fast, thinking faster, hurrying to play on time in both games. And I managed it!
But how I was supposed to know, that I was put into two real time games? And how (or whether?) playing two games at the same time would be possible on the phone or another device simpler than the normal computer?
Two real time games I played simultaneously:
boardgamearena.com/table?table=127889566
boardgamearena.com/table?table=127887706
Look at the replay and compare when the moves where made!
I think you should make sure that starting two real time games at the same time would REALLY be impossible.
Or, if that is too hard to fix, you should give players first the information that two games started ("You are playing another realtime game" on the page with each of those games, with link to the other one) and second the possibility to quit one of those two games without any penalties (of course the possibility should be open only before this player's first move, not as long as to the end of the game), with subsequent question to other players whether they want to play without the player who just left the game without playing.
"
I was in the looby for this game: boardgamearena.com/table?table=140350564
Ha__EUN did not accept the game start so we waited for a few minutes.
I then cancelled the game start and joined another game (hanabi). This game did start (boardgamearena.com/table?table=140356926)
After I finished my game of Hanabi, I noticed that my reputation had gone down. That's when I noticed I had gotten a time out and kick pentalty (-20) for the game of celestia that was never started.
I can only assume that when I started my game of hanabi, bga did not automatically remove me from the celestia game. Even then bga seems to have automatically accepted the new game start without my approval... the game logs show that I made no moves and got kicked on the first move after a few minutes.
At this time i was already in a game of hanabi, which should show up on my game logs.

When I click to view from my perspective (mph10):
boardgamearena.com/archive/replay/210114-1340/?table=140350564&player=84772388
There is an error:
"Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred...
Unable to find game archive /var/tournoi-data/gamearchive/140350564/140350564_84772388.html"
However, when trying to view from anyone else's perspective, bga successfully loads the game replay.
This implies that I was not really in the game, only some parts of the website thought I was inside, while others did not.

Problem happended first time.
Yesterday evening, I created a turn-based arena game but nobody joined (fine, no problem). I shutdown my computer with the game still without an opponent.
This morning I saw 3(!) arena games on my account: the first one I created yesterday but I have no idea where the last 2 come from. Especially the second one, created at 02:07 must be a bug since I wasn't even online at that time.
- Game 1: boardgamearena.com/table?table=316799364
- Game 2: boardgamearena.com/table?table=316782819
I did not know I was an active player in Game 2. It appeared to me as if Game 2 was abandoned.
Right before this happened; something strange was taking place on the BGA website.
I was trying to join a King of Tokyo game. I would get to the about to start game screen, then the game would get canceled. Then I would immediately be back at the about to start screen again; then the game would get canceled again. This happened several times in quick succession.
...
Here are the two real time games I was in at the same time:
- Game 1: boardgamearena.com/table?table=316787306
- Game 2: boardgamearena.com/table?table=316784634
