In the past few days, tournaments I've opened have been closed without any explanation or action from me.
boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=423184
boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=423185
These tournaments aren't breaking any rules, and both of them were closed by BGA automatically about a day after I opened them for registration. -
• Please explain what you wanted to do, what you did and what happened
I intended to create a weekly 16-person tournament series for Terra Mystica, as a low-stakes event. There aren't many tournaments for the game, so the intention was to create a small casual hangout event that fires more often.
First I made a few events, calling them "Fiesta 1", "Fiesta 2", etc. I only opened the first two events, the others are drafts and not open for registration. A few days ago, I went back to the tournament list to find that this event was closed after only 2 people registering: boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=423184
I was really confused why this was happening. So I adjusted the names on my drafts, so that "Fiesta 2" became "Week 1 - Base Map" (boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=423185) and "Fiesta 3" became "Week 2 - Fire and Ice". But now I just came back this morning and my "Week 1 - Base Map" tournament has also been closed after only 2 registrations??

Report history
This is my tournaments page. As you can see, currently only my "Week 2 - Fire and Ice" tournament is still intact. The other weekly tournaments are drafts and aren't visible to the public.
boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=424271
I did a series of tests to find out where the bug was, by registering tournaments and then changing a single parameter on each one.
The only tournaments to start early were those where I changed the "Registration Starts" value from "30" as it was initially registered, to "11". These two tournaments started on either August 20th or 21st, instead of the correct date (August 31).
IMO, the bug is that if you create a tournament and open it for registration, then change "registration starts" to a value that lands between now and the start date/time, then BGA will start the tournament immediately on that date (instead of merely opening it for registration).
