If I type in 'Käse' in the word checker it throws an BGA corruption error something, because Umlauts are not supported.
If I type in 'Kaese', it says the word is not in the dictionary. But this would be the official way to write it in crossword puzzles.

If a certain diacritic tile doesn't exist, just ignore the diacritic mark.
For example: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrabble_letter_distributions
Unfortunately, only regular Latin alphabets exist in this game.
so it is Kase for Käse then
ä=a
ö=o
ü=u
ß=ss
ß is not B but SS, because ß cannot be replaced to B.
