I tried joining on a different device, and it froze at 10% as well. A few minutes later, I was able to rejoin. But at that point I had been expelled. I can't access the game and screen froze at 10% reloading. tried F5. Tried to change browser (Chrome, Edge, samsung browser..). I tried to access from main website of the game and from "Tables waiting for you" section but don't works...

I still can’t rejoin the game and it is frozen at 10% loading and I have to completely close out of browser and come back into BGA in order to access BGA I have been trying since yesterday to access frozen game. I'm stuck here too. Table 571724175. It doesn't load for 2 users, loads for the third. When I went to an incognito tab, it loaded when I was logged out, but as soon as I logged in it stopped working again. Happens both in Brave and in Firefox.

Exact same thing just happened to me, I was expelled without being able to even load the game. Got stuck at 10% loading game art. I tried refreshing, I tried accessing via mobile, nothing worked.

Same issue on two separate occasions within the last few days (Table 586893650 and Table 586505895). On both occasions, was refreshing to avoid a minor bug where current knight vs barbarian count was incorrect in Cities & Knights expansion. Also affecting another player using a different device. Stuck at 10% "loading game art", but inspecting and setting the loading screen mask to something less opaque reveals it may be something with the loading the game log? Hope this helps

Same issue, stuck at screen saying ":Loading game art (10%)" and it won't let you get into the game, or access any of the boardgame arena menu options. I've reproduced this from the phone I always play on (both the browser version and mobile app) and a completely separate web browser on a computer. I've tried rebooting my phone to no avail, and I can't find a way to cancel the game without getting into it I'm afraid. BGA seems to think I have a turn in a Catan game when I do not. Every time I click the red "Get back to tables list" I get a Catan loading screen that freezes at 10%. If I click my browsers back button, then click the BGA logo at the top left, click my account portrait in the top and select "view all current tables" at the bottom I can get back to the tables list. From the tables list I can click and load into any of my games including Catan but when I'm in a game and click the red button for the next game or to go back to tables list it always trys and fails to load a Catan game regardless of anything else.

This issue has been open for for close to 4 weeks, my game has been stuck for 5 days, and my individual issue was reported 3 days ago and there is no progress. Because this game is frozen, every time I try to go to the next table it sends me to the Catan loading screen, and the only way around it is to go to your table list and manually select the next game. The game being stuck is a huge issue as is, it also affecting the ability to go to the next table makes the issue hugely inconvenient. The stuck game(Table #585427058), needs to be removed from my available games. As long as this issue has been going on, we deserve a response from the developers at this point to update us on the status of the issue and how the stuck games can be removed.

My game table 583682959 is not accessible by anyone playing (stops loading at 10%). It's my turn and now my turn is overdue, so I am not allowed to start any other games. Nobody can cancel because we can't enter (the table page doesn't allow me to cancel/quit, either). Please force quit this game or something of the sort! I love supporting this site and really want to get back to playing.

My table number is 586865886 and I experienced this same issue. I'm unable to get into the game, stuck at 10% loading every time I try. Im also unable to create any new games until this one ages out which really stinks. It seems like there is some issue loading an image that freezes the entire thing.

This is happening to me too, in table id 596163671 (game: Sushi Go Party)
F5 is not resolving the problem.
The problem appears consistently (every time) for this game across different browsers (chrome 131.0.6778.86 and firefox 133.0) and on different devices (macOs 14.7.1 and android 13)
I can access without problems to all the other table I'm currently in, only on this table the interface gets stuck, every single time I try to open it.
I also tried accessing the table from incognito, and I get stuck there too. I would rule out any cookie-related problem.

I was unable to start a game for over a week, as I had timed out. One of the other players left and the game thankfully cancelled, so i can now start games again. There was however a karma penalty. As this was due to a technical issue, can this be removed? Thanks!

I have experienced this same issue in tables 578591124 and 587325434. I had to abandon the latter because of the problem.
I tried multiple browsers, different devices, and incognito mode. If am not logged in, I can always see the table, but as soon as I log in, the game will no longer load past 10%.

Same issue, kicked and wouldn’t load, got to ten percent and hung. I tried a bunch of stuff (clearing fifteen minute cache reloading, closing tab) to no avail. Speed test and main site all good just not the game interface.

I have tried 2 devices, 3 browsers and Catan will not load. Just says loading game art and gets stuck at 10% and then freezes. Refreshing doesn’t fix it. This has been going on for me since about 6:30pm CST 12/14

I sent a message to one of the programmer of the game regarding this issue. Hopefully he/she can help. Other messages about this glitch have also been sent to BGA via e-mail, but I didn't receive any answer yet.

Okay, so I have been kicked out of 3 games. However, I was able to UNFREEZE my last frozen game, and it turns out it was MY FAULT!!

In the case of the above mentioned game, I had ANOTHER WINDOW OPEN FOR THE SAME GAME! it was hidden in a tab.
I was able to play that game, close that window, and move on. Good luck!

It seems the common issue (at least for Catan) I'm reading is that this happens after completing a trade. I don't have a fix but I did come up with a workaround:
If you construct a URL for replaying a turn and manually insert this into a browser the game will replay the last set of turns and move to your action. General format: (ignore the asterisks)
boardgamearena.com/14/catan?table=**insert-table-id**&replayLastTurn=1&replayLastTurnPlayer=**insert-your-player-ID**
I'm assuming the 14 above is likely a server ID and is not specifically relevant. What I did to come up with this was replay a turn from another catan game and then copy the URL, and insert the table ID of the game that was stuck. Hope this helps

I was able to find out my table number by looking at the web address in the address bar after clicking the CATAN game--that was stuck on the Loading screen--I wanted to play and inserted that along with my player ID (minus the asterisks) using your link and was not able to play my turn, but at least I could quit the game from that screen, so now I can join new games, because I was behind on time on that one that was stuck at "Loading game art (10%)."

I was trading a resource for another. Someone offered me a different trade which I didn't realize until after I accepted the trade. Wanted to restart my turn. Wasn't sure it would undo the trade, but thought I'd try. Then it said there was a problem. Press F5. I tried to get back in, but it would only go to 10% loading Art. Even when I rebooted, I still couldn't get in. Not until the game had timed out and my reputation went down.

In this case, I (SvenOver) reached an agreement with both Gabyta91 and KlavdiaD; I chose to fulfill the trade with KlavdiaD and could NOT get into the game afterwards, whereas KlavdiaD COULD. I don't know about Gabyta.
In a currently ongoing game with 3 players (boardgamearena.com/1/catan?table=613311475), 1 of my opponents raised a trade offer, agreed by both me and the other opponent. The exchange was fulfilled with me, and since then, the other 2 players cannot enter the game.
It looks like the algorithm got stuck because it doesn't know what to do with the accepted but not fulfilled trade between the other two players. I think the algorithm needs to be instructed about what to do in this situation, namely: cancelling the trade which is not going to be fulfilled. Question might be whether it should be implemented in such a way that the players involved should do this themselves (manually), or that the algorithm should do this automatically - I think the 2nd option would be perfectly suitable.

The same happened to me at the same game ( boardgamearena.com/9/catan?table=617143635 ), turn approximately 208, when i did a trade request (trade A), 1 opponent accepted the request (A), the other player proposed another trade (B) and I fulfilled the initial trade (A).
So apparently this bug can occur whenever there are multiple opponents who either accept a trade request or make another trade proposal.
Using the replayLastTurn URL like mentioned above did work as a bypass again, but I think the real solution to this problem will be that the algorithm needs information about what to do with the trade offer which is not fulfilled.

This happened to me last night as well. I finished a trade and was about to pass, but the game froze and began reloading. The reload paused at 10% and would not move past that even though I joined the game on another device. My reputation and karma took a hit even though I was actively trying to get back into the game before my timer finished.

Still unable to load the Catan game that's been locked and only loads to 10% for over a month now - and I can't create new games because you tell me I am "Late" to play in a turn based game - but I can't play in that game.

Exactly the same happened to me as described in the original report
Internet worked properly, and it really came from bga, because I tried from another device and a different browser and it was still frozen at 10%.
It lasted about 5 minutes, while I was reloading on a regular basis. Then all came back to normal, but I had been expelled.
Please restablish elo and karma;

I had the same issue in the table CATAN #624836031. I think it is possible to reproduce the error. I have traded and i traded with wrong person and it tried to restart my turn it happened and i couldnt join the table and timeouted and i am expelled. because of game mistake i lost xp and reputation.

This has occurred in game in our game Table #646643528. I am the owner and set up the game. I can see the table but all of the other players are getting this error of stopping at loading 10%. None of them are premium members.

The problem persists and not only in Catan, but in several games. It now happens more frequently and multiple times during the game, sometimes with several players. It is "resolved" by using f5.
